Loved having John as our landlord...our house was COMPLETELY redone, and he even put a speaker system throughout the entire house that could be hooked up to an Ipod for parties...the house was so nice and brand new everything, and he was just the most helpful landlord I have ever dealt with...seriously rent anything from him because he actually CARES about his tenants (so rare in Oakland)

My roommate and I lived here for two years. It was a great experience. The apartment is very modern, secure, and well-maintained. He apparently did the renovation himself, and he did a damn good job of it. He took good care of the place, and would always be available (or would sent one of his workers out) if something went wrong, which it almost never did! Fair lease terms, friendly dude, he'd help you move in or out if he had the time. Only issue we had was the lawn wouldn't get mowed for a few weeks at a time some times. Would definitely rent again.
